As a child prodigy at the age of six, Pianist Diva Jane Getz started off playing classical music. By the time she was in her early teens, Jane expanded her musical talents and was playing with such jazz greats as: Stan Getz (no relation), Charles Mingus and Herbie Mann. As a pianist and or prolific songwriter, Jane's work can be heard here in the states, as well as abroad. She has recorded with: Gene McDaniels, Jimi Hendrix, (8) Harry Nielson Albums, Bobby Womack, The Bee Gees, Rick Roberts, Jeff Muldar. Jimmy Spheeris, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Tommy Peltier, Don Henley, Dr. John, etc.
As a songwriter, Jane started writing Rock, R&B and Country and signed to an underground rock record for a small label, in which she sang, played and wrote all the songs.
In the world of country music, Jane graced the music keys as a staff pianist for country label Goldstar Records, as well as toured with Jimmy Spheeris, who also recorded the hit single that was written by Jane 'The Original Tap Dancin' Kid.'
Ms. Getz acquired the moniker name 'Mother Hen' and was signed by RCA to a two album deal. Both Mother Hen and album 'No Ordinary Child' was extremely well received by the critics and is still currently selling around the world on the net.
As a prolific songwriter, Jane's songs can be heard both in television, as well as movies, including the movie 'Never Too Young to Die.' Her hit song 'Survival Of The Hippest' danced it's way into the dance market. She is currently receiving airtime in Sweden for a song she co-wrote with artist Jon Strider, as well as (3) co-written songs with artist Tommy Peltier, who's CD was featured on the cover of The Rolling Stones (Germany.)
Besides currently playing with the Dale Fielder band, which won the BET group of the year award, Jane recently completed playing the piano for the recorded music of August Wilson's theatrical stage play 'The Piano.'
Ms. Getz's producer skills can also be found on a variety of albums including: the new Christian label, Fig Leaf Records, as well as the hit single 'I've Never Been To Me' for artist Charlene, with Elton John on piano (England Release.) Currently Jane is Producing, writing,
co-writing and dancing on the keys with her fingers, on artist extraordinaire, Sweet Baby J'ai's latest album. |
